Development of AI aimed at social contribution and high practicality through AI
This lab is centered on five faculty members who specialize in information systems belonging to the university, and is leading from the aspect of industrial contribution using AI technology for the regional contribution and social contribution that the university aims for. We are conducting daily research with the goal of sublimating the know-how gained through joint research into general-purpose AI technology and returning it to society at large. Although it is a small research organization, we will continue to contribute to society through information technology centered on AI with high aspirations.

| Purpose |
The purpose is to foster problem-solving skills through regional contributions in industry-academia collaboration and efforts to address specific individual issues. The specific contents of each purpose are shown below.
－ Regional contribution aims to solve problems and create new innovations through joint research and academic guidance with local / domestic / overseas companies and local governments / research institutes. － In terms of training, we aim to develop world-class AI engineers by cultivating practical problem-solving abilities through joint research using the latest machine learning and optimization technologies. |

－ We will try to solve the problems that companies have from the viewpoint of the site. － We will also work on solving problems from a challenging perspective using competitive external funds, and create innovative technologies that will lead to the revitalization of regional and domestic industries. |

Collaboration in various forms such as "joint research" and "contract research" shown below is possible. ・Joint research: Researchers from companies and AI lab faculty members work together on an equal footing to solve problems. ・Contract research: AI lab faculty members are entrusted by companies to solve problems. ・Academic guidance: We provide guidance and advice from a professional standpoint on issues faced by companies, etc., and support problem solving. It is also possible to accept adult doctors (doctoral students) for the purpose of training AI engineers. |
